This book is really close to my heart. Not just for the story, but for the process of writing it during a difficult time in my life. Mom suffered a stroke and hit a steady decline over the following seven months. Through her struggles, she constantly pushed me and encouraged me to continue chasing after my dreams. “Never give up.” Those were her words to me on more than one occasion. I lost Mom and my younger brother a week apart this past February. Yes, that was tough. But with my loving family and friends, I was able to deal with it. Heck, I’m still dealing with it. I don’t think it will ever get any easier. My heart goes out to anyone facing the loss of a family member(s).
Anyway, you probably don’t want to hear about that… I just felt compelled to share it. For those who feel life gets in the way of your dreams, no – don’t let that happen. Move forward. Push through. Life sucks sometimes, but we have to deal with it. I have found it is best to deal by being upbeat and always ALWAYS looking for something positive in each day and in each person. Enough ranting on life….
